My Everyday Timepiece + JORD WATCH GIVEAWAY

You may have heard me share this on Instagram the other day, but I have this thing about me, this compulsion, where I HAVE to tell my friends when I find something I like. If you’ve known me personally, I’m sure I’ve tried to sell you on a planner that you have to have or a water bottle that you just need. And it’s for no other reason than I want you to also have it and share in it’s joy with me. It’s just wired in me.

So guys, I HAVE to tell you about this watch, because well, I want you to have one too.

15 Ways to Save Money Planning Your Wedding

If you are engaged, chances are you've probably had two opposing internal dialogues throughout the wedding planning process.

One side of your brain is saying, "It's my one day to splurge a little, so it's okay if I spend a little on (fill in the blank)."

The other part of you is saying, "Okay, its just one day, do I really need to spend this much on (fill in the blank)?"

I 100% had both thoughts over and over as I planned my wedding so I am in no way judging for either thought process. Becoming Mr. + Mrs. Winkelmann

I'll admit, I'm prone to using hyperboles in my everyday talk. A lot of my sentences sound like, "that's the (enter extreme adjective) I've ever seen in my whole entire life!" or "I'm starving," etc. Usually of which, I don't mean to be taken literally, obviously.

But believe me when I say this, March 4, 2018 was truly the best day of my life. Marrying my best friend surrounded by the best group of people was the sweetest gift from the Lord. It's hard to believe that we've been Mr. and Mrs. Winkelmann for over a month (!!!) so I felt like it was time to share the pictures and details of the best day of my entire life.

The Flower Co.

Hi friends! Can you believe we are already halfway through October? Time just needs to slow down, don't ya think?

As I look forward to all the fun fall and winter things ahead, I want to take a moment to pause and reflect. I know it's been a while since I've posted a blog (lol like whole month) so there's a lot of catching up to do. But I promise that I will do my very best to be more present on here moving forward.

As you may or may not have seen, on October 1st I launched The Farmer & I Flower Co. And let me tell you, it wasn't easy.

For a girl with a whole lot of self-doubt and indecision, committing to starting a business was terrifying. Terrifying, yet exciting. I've known my whole life that I've wanted to have my own business. I've known for several years that I want to be a wedding florist, so what was so terrifying about that?

Lessons from the farm

My name is Grant and I am the Farmer part of “The Farmer and I” and I also happen to have the good fortune to be dating Carrington! As of today, I also happen to be the internet’s newest and most unlikely blogger.

Just a few short months ago, I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Agricultural Economics and began my career in the fast track industry that is small-scale farming. More specifically, I accepted a position as the farm manager for Texas Specialty Cut Flowers (also known as Arnosky Family Farms), located between Wimberley and Blanco in the Texas Hill Country.
