Summer Wedding at Bella Woods

Oh the Tatums, I love them so much. This May, our pals got hitched and it was a weekend of pure joy and fun. These two are the most fun to be around and their wedding day was no exception.

Haylee and I were both Chi O's at A&M and Max and Grant were both in BYX— so naturally, this friendship was meant to be;) Grant and I loved watching Max and Haylee's relationship throughout college develop and grow, they have always been a standard to me of what it looks like to date well. And now, they are husband and wife!! The Lord is good y’all.

A White and Green Summer Wedding

I'm all about color when it comes to flowers, but I'll always have that love for a classic white and green look. I LOVED Rachel's choice to go with whites and greens for her May wedding. On such a hot summer day, the palette was so crisp and bright that I think it was the perfect fit.

I met with Rachel and her mom leading up to the wedding and could not get over how kind and laid-back they were. Chatting with them over coffee  was such a pleasure and they were that sweet and calm even on the wedding day.

For Rachel's bouquet we used fluffy white peonies as the showstoppers that just continued to open up in that Texas heat.

15 Ways to Save Money Planning Your Wedding

If you are engaged, chances are you've probably had two opposing internal dialogues throughout the wedding planning process.

One side of your brain is saying, "It's my one day to splurge a little, so it's okay if I spend a little on (fill in the blank)."

The other part of you is saying, "Okay, its just one day, do I really need to spend this much on (fill in the blank)?"

I 100% had both thoughts over and over as I planned my wedding so I am in no way judging for either thought process. I'm not here to say you shouldn’t splurge on a photographer for your big day or that you need to skimp on expensive linens— it's YOUR day, and you (and whoever is helping fund your wedding) get to determine what is important to you for your wedding day.

Rainy Summer Wedding at the Farmhouse

This couple y'all, they are wholly and completely themselves and I love it. They are loving, thoughtful and FUN and their wedding day mirrored every bit of it.

Alex and Jess got married on a rainy Sunday in May at the Farmhouse in Montgomery, Texas. Something about rainy wedding days makes it so cozy and intimate. Maybe I'm a little biased because we had a little bit of rain on our day too.

For Jess's bouquet, we used some beautiful big blooms. Those peachy stunners are David Austen's Juliet Garden roses, a favorite of mine when the pallet allows. The other main blooms are white peonies (gahh I love them), quicksand roses, and white ranunculus.

Preparing for your fall garden

I'll be honest with y'all. I'm afraid to admit it, but I think I have a bit of a black thumb. And maybe its not that I have a black thumb but just that I am really, really forgetful when it comes to watering my little plant babies. BUT I AM TRYING TO GET BETTER OK. As I type this I am actually remembering that I am supposed to water our hanging baskets today, so hold on I'm gonna go do that real quick.

Like I was saying, I do not have extensive gardening experience, butttt luckily I married a man who is arguably the best gardener I know. I mean, he lives and breathes plants and if you think I am exaggerating then ask the huge wire rack he just put in our living room to start his seeds under lights. Or ask literally anyone who has had a conversation with him. He is the real deal.

Romantic Winter Wedding at Hughe's Manor

It's taken an embarrasingly long time to post about the weddings that I've gotten to be a part of this year— nonetheless, here we are sharing with you a wedding from February. From here on out, I'll be doing my best to post more promptly, so we'll see:-)

The perfect setting for a wedding the weekend after Valentine's Day, Hughe's Manor in the Washington, Heights District in Houston, Texas. The combination of modern and industrial with a chic and romantic vibe, I was a fan.

Recent Wedding Reflections

Although at this point, summer seems like forever ago, I want to take a moment to reflect on this summer at the Flower Co. It's about time I share these with you all.

Between June and August, I had the opportunity to provide florals for a handful of sweet brides and what a joy it was! These women were patient, kind, and a picture of love to me during this beginning season. I am thankful for these women + their now-husbands and want to share a few pics from their special day with you because they deserve it!

If you know me, you know that I LOVE fall. I can't quite claim that it is my favorite season because I just love so much about all four of them- but, something about fall just makes my heart happy. Blankets and fires and football and yes, pumpkin spice lattes are all around the corner people!

Now back to reality. Today's DIY is brought to you by a recent Bride of mine. She contacted me before the wedding needing a blank wall to be spruced up for the Reception. She sent me some inspiration and asked if I could help her out!
