Welcome to the The Farmer & I. This blog was created as a way for us to share our lives and passions with you. We are the Winkelmanns, a husband and wife team living the dream in Wimberley, Texas. We're just two Aggies who love making good food, growing things, exploring new places, and serving our good, good Father. We want this to be a space where we invite you to follow along with us on this journey to following our dreams and share some things we learn along the way. We hope this will be a place of inspiration and community, a place where we don't pretend to have it all together but share the ups and downs of this crazy-beautiful life. Thank you for being here.

If you're wondering who's the "I" behind The Farmer & I, look no further- my name is Carrington and I'm so happy that you're here!

Here are a few little tidbits about me:

I recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and a minor in Horticulture.

I'm a proud Texan by birth, originally from Fort Worth but now calling Hill Country my home.

I've got a crush on fresh flowers, home-cooked meals, and slow mornings.

I'm a homebody yet I believe this world is meant to be traveled.

A good vanilla latte keeps me going (as do chocolate chip cookies).

I own a floral design company, The Farmer & I Flower Co based out of Wimberley, Texas.

I'm a mess in need of Jesus daily.

The good looking guy to the left is Grant, the farmer that inspired this blog and my HUSBAND. He's brimming with passion for growing unique vegetables and making anything and everything from scratch.

Grant graduated from Texas A&M in 2017 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.

He's a certified foodie with a knack for finding the best restaurants.

He's the best cook I know and is always whipping up something new, (I'm spoiled, I know).

He dreams big and inspires bigger by unapologetically following after what he believes in.

He just got a cool job working for the Farm Project in Austin, Texas!

THANKS FOR STICKING AROUND AND GETTING TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US. NOW GRAB YOURSELF A CUP OF COFFEE AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME.
